About Us
Hello! We’re Michele and Chantelle the mother-daughter team behind La Flor Farm.

The idea for La Flor Farm grew slowly. For many years Michele shared her garden flowers for weddings, tea parties, birthdays, and baby showers. Chantelle’s yard was overflowing with Hydrangeas and Dahlias, she was looking for space to expand her garden. Every Spring and Summer we would collect new Dahlias, Peonies, Hydrangeas, more flower seeds, and nurture them to share with family and friends. It felt scary to dream that we could turn our love of all things flowers into a fully realized dream.

Late in the Summer of 2021, we visited a local Dahlia farm, took a million pictures, oohed and aahed, talked the whole way home about what we loved and what we might try if it was our farm. Michele had just ordered a “farm size” order of Roses, Chantelle’s list of Dahlias was insane. It was time. Time to take the leap of faith. Time to give our baby business a name. Time to place all the orders and make connections. There have been so many special people along the way who have been willing to share a part of their garden to grow ours. We’re looking forward to paying that forward as we share our farm flowers with you.

What Makes Our Flowers Different?

Locally grown flowers are cut at the last possible moment to meet your event or purchase timing. It's hard to explain how amazing fresh-cut flowers are! When you compare local blooms to those that have been shipped hundreds of miles in tight boxes, there really is no contest. We use proper and appropriate post-harvest care methods and avoid dangerous chemicals. We grow and nurture uncommon and uncommonly beautiful flowers. We have extensive collections of flowers, and we're always adding more to the farm. From romantic sweet peas to sunflowers - our flowers are anything but ordinary.
