About Us
Our passion is in the fields, growing the highest quality, freshest flowers for people who love flowers. Our blooms are cut at the perfect time to allow you to enjoy the longest lasting flowers.

Erin started out growing veggies after working on an organic farm in 1999 while still in college. She developed a passion for plants and never looked back. “Flowers proved to be far more interesting and challenging than veggies, and I can’t say no to a challenge!”

Erin met (the other) Aaron in 1996 and started looking for a property to farm in 2000. They found their farm and home in 2002, 9 miles from Corvallis in Philomath, nestled up on a hillside and surrounded by tall fir trees.

The property was reclaimed from a clear cut after having been abandoned for two years. The home farm has been developed slowly, one small section at a time, with hundreds of hours spent clearing invasive species, branches and slash. The home farm property has its own unique challenges, like hauling buckets full of flowers up a hill, and lends itself to niche plantings, like a hellebore forest.

After filling every nook any cranny, Rain Drop expanded to two different plots of leased land bringing the total land in cultivation to just under 15 acres of flowers.

While farming is their passion, raising their children on a farm has been an unexpected joy. Emmitt (15), Cedric (12) and Beatrice (3), spend countless hours with their feet and hands in the dirt, helping with various jobs around the farm.

Erin handles crop planning, selection, marketing and design, and Aaron does the trucking and anything and everything on the farm.

Being a part of the Seattle Wholesale Growers Market has been a wonderful way for Rain Drop to bring the beauty of their flowers north from the Willamette Valley.
Practices
Erin and Aaron are proud to cultivate all their flowers in the beautiful Willamette Valley using sustainable practices, and believe that as stewards of the land, they have a responsibility to nurture the plants and animals on their property. Our flowers are grown by employing natural and thoughtfully applied fertilizers and soil amendments, with an emphasis on working with natural cycles to help our plants, crops and soil thrive. As growers and parents, Erin and Aaron have a deep respect for the beautiful place they call home and want to pass that along to their children.
